ROMATECH™ CHAIN DRIVE SHADES

The Romatech™ Chain Drive Roman Shade System is ideally suited for use with any typical sun screening or blackout roller shade fabric. It can also be used with many drapery fabrics to make flat, pleated, and hobbled style Roman Shades.

The pictures below feature a chain drive pleated shade made with Sheerweave 5000 shade fabric. Other shade styles that can be adapted for use with the Romatech™ chain drive system are pictured in “other shade configurations”.

Romatech™ Chain Drive Roman Shades are identical to Romasafe™ Cordless Roman Shades except that they have a bead chain lift system instead of a cordless lift system. A side-mounted bead chain loop is used to operate the shade (chains must be installed with a Cord Safety Standard compliant tension device).

The lift bands wind up into an elegant, covered cassette.

Romatech™ Chain Drive Shades Benefits

An unlimited choice of pleat spacing
Pleats without pinpricks of light
A versatile, easy to operate bead chain lift system - precisely matched to the size and weight of the shade
Sizes to fit large windows

Romatech™ Band Guides

The patent-pending Romatech™ band guides are made from clear polycarbonate and self-align in the back channels of the aluminium Shade Battens.

Romatech™ Cassettes

The patent-pending cassette positions the shade close to the window while allowing the bands free access to the lift mechanism. The shade fabric wraps around the front to cover the cassette.

WINDOW COVERING CORD SAFETY ALERT
Please be aware that bead chain control loops present a strangulation hazard, particularly to young children. Shades made with bead chain loops must be made in compliance with the American National Standard for Safety of Corded Window Covering Products, ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2014. In particular, they must comply with the Labelling and Operational Tag Requirements and the Bead Chain Tension Devise Requirements specified in the Standard. Those seeking to make Romatech™ shades with bead chain control loops need to be thoroughly familiar with the American National Standard for Safety of Corded Window Covering Products. Copies of the Standard are available at the WCMA (Window Covering Manufacturers Association) website.
